Journal Entry #2
To whom it may concern,
My name is Catherine Barkley, and I am a nurse from britain that served in the red cross during World War 1. I have heard news of the syrian refugee crisis, and it absolutely terrible. I have heard that many families and loved ones are being separated, and that many people are being killed either due to the war or due to malnutrition.
I ask you to try and do your best to keep families and loved ones together. I had two different loved ones in the war and was separated from both of them. That was one of the hardest things I ever had to live through, and I know what a terrible feeling it is to have to wonder every day if the person you love is ok. No one should have to live through that. I also ask you to make sure that everyone is fed correctly and that everyone has all of the things that they need. The man that I love, named Henry, escaped the war and traveled all through Italy with very little food to eat, and little to no clean water for him to drink, and it was an awful thing to see a loved one so unhealthy.
I hope that someday soon Syria will be ok, and that all families and other loved ones are reunited.
Best wishes for the future,
Catherine Barkley
