snow
Chloe Gouda
Snow. It rains down on houses, but not with the same aggressive thumping of actual rain. No, when snow falls it is almost like a look into spring and summer when the cotton will fall off of cotton trees, though snow will not produce a brand new tree with the correct conditions. Snow has this strange form of elegance, hardly making a noise when it falls, and somehow covering the world in a blanket of sparkling white. It covers the trees with flakes sticking to the thin branches and every once in awhile leaves, making the outdoors look like a beautiful Christmas card, or a cliche seen in a rom-com winter movie. Snow is like nature's own personal way of getting people to take a step back and not go anywhere, due to the fact the perfect powder often makes the roads near impossible to drive on safely, and to cold for most people to go anywhere. Snow is a thing that I have seen every year of my life since I was born, and if I'm being completely honest, I want to see snow for the rest of my life.
